Visual Media

The Visual Media collection consists of over 100,000 physical and streaming titles. All resources are listed in the library online catalog and can be searched for using the search box below.

(Note: This searches only AU streaming video collections.)

Physical Media

The primary mission of Media Services is to support teaching faculty and their course development, so some titles in our physical collection are designated for class use and cannot be taken home; these items may only be viewed in the library. However, most DVDs in our collection do circulate to AU students and staff and are designated Home Use.

Please note: The Home Use DVD loan period is one week and is subject to Community Impact fees; replacement fees will be charged for items damaged, lost, or stolen while checked out. DVDs must be renewed in person.

To peruse some of our favorite films visit our Media Highlights page. We have over 30 sub-collections with over 2,000 pinned films on themes like staff favorites, animation, AFI top 100, French language films and many more!

Streaming Media

Thousands of videos in the library catalog are available as online streaming files for instant access. Some of these are restricted to AU ID holders and some are open access.
