Dear AU Community, 

Welcome back for the Fall 2025 semester! Building on last year’s renovation of the Terrace Dining Room (TDR) and valuable feedback from our Dining Advisory Board, and campus community, we’re excited to share new updates to enhance your dining experience: 

• TDR Décor: Thanks to the work of a cross-campus stakeholder group from University Communications, Student Affairs, Athletics, Police, Risk Management, Archives, and the Museum, TDR now features new AU-themed décor including a vintage photo collage of AU Eagles from the past decades, replica works from the university’s art collection, and, later this semester, replicas of student works.  

• Ace Sushi Relocation & New 24/7 Kerwin Hall Options: Ace Sushi has moved to the Mary Graydon Student Center (MGSC) for easier access. Its former Kerwin Hall location will open soon as 24/7 self-service vending to meet demand for around-the-clock options. 

• New Kosher Kitchen: The kosher preparation space, formerly housed upstairs in MGSC, has been relocated to a newly constructed, purpose-built kosher kitchen adjacent to TDR, supporting expanded in-house production for our kosher-observant community members. 

• Expanded Dining at WCL & Bender Arena: Chartwells has taken over dining at the Washington College of Law and Bender Arena concessions. Renovations at WCL’s Yuma Dining Room, Atrium Café, and Bender Concessions will deliver improved culinary experiences for the WCL community and our Eagles fans. 

• Updated Venue Signage in the Lydecker Tunnel: New signage was installed at the Campus Store, University Club, Eagles Express, and Qdoba, (the UPS Store is coming soon), enhancing navigation and wayfinding.  

• Hours and Menu Improvements: Based on your input, we’re launching late-night hours at Qdoba and East Campus Market, earlier weekend brunch at TDR, and new chicken sandwich options at True Burger.  

• Improved Faculty and Staff Dining: The University Club (U-Club) reopens September 3 for lunch service Monday to Thursday, featuring walk-in availability and refreshed menus. As part of Thank Clawed Its Wednesday! programming, faculty and staff can dine at TDR for any mealtime for $11.99 per person.
