Dear AU Community, 

As we begin the spring 2026 semester, we would like to share a quick reminder about the Eagle Access Program and upcoming key dates. 

Digital course materials were released to students beginning January 2, and physical materials are currently available for pickup at the Campus Store. If you plan to opt out of the program for the spring term, please remember that all opt-outs must be submitted by the January 26 add/drop deadline. 

Students can continue to review their required materials through the Eagle Access portal, which will continue to update as additional titles are added in the coming days. We encourage all students to check the portal before finalizing their participation this semester. Students can opt out and back into the program until the add/drop deadline.  

As shared in December, your feedback has been essential in shaping recent program improvements, including enhanced platform reliability, expanded website information, a new centralized contact point at eagleaccess@american.edu, and the launch of the Follett Discover Adopt tool for faculty in Canvas. 

We appreciate your continued engagement and encourage you to reach out to us at eagleaccess@american.edu with questions, suggestions, and feedback on the program.
