Dear AU Community,

Welcome back to campus for the spring 2026 semester. To help ensure that your mail and package experience is seamless and efficient, please review the following reminders. 

Students

Amazon Deliveries To avoid misplaced Amazon packages, be sure to update your Amazon delivery settings with accurate location details. This helps ensure that packages are delivered correctly and minimizes delays or confusion. 

Package Pickup Timeline Most packages are delivered to a package locker and must be picked up within three days of notification from Mail Services. On Day 4, any unclaimed package(s) will be returned to the sender. Lockers are accessible from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week using your AU ID.  

Letter Mail Student letter mail will be delivered to a package locker. You will receive a notification alert from Mail Services, just as you do for packages. To streamline the pickup process, packages and mail for the same student will be co-delivered in the same locker, whenever possible. A few reminders on letter mail:  

  • Please do not change your permanent mailing address to AU while enrolled at the university. 
  • To support sustainability efforts, we encourage enrollment in electronic statements for items such as bank statements, bills, and invoices. 
  • Use your university mailing address for personal correspondence and urgent matters only. 

Faculty and Staff

Proper Addressing Accurate address formatting is critical. Faculty and staff should ensure that their department name is included in the address line to facilitate proper delivery. 

Outgoing Mail Drop Boxes Please place all outgoing mail (including items to be metered and interoffice mail) in the designated outgoing mailboxes located around campus. 

Metered Mail Be sure to complete the electronic request form for all  items requiring postage.
