As noted in her book, Professor Allen remarked that the 2008 financial crisis was a defining economic crisis that presented similar challenges to the current threats posed by fintech. The Constitutional Court of South Africa has issued an order in a case brought by Blind South Africa against the Parliament. The order finds provisions of the Copyright Act to be unconstitutional due to "infringement of the rights of persons with persons with visual and print disabilities, as set out in sections 9(3), 10, 16(1)(b), 29(1) and 30
of the Constitution."
