Lambda Law Society
Lambda Law Society, WCL's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual/ aromantic, etc.(LGBTQIA+) student group, was founded in 1984 as a political, educational, and social organization. Lambda is dedicated to building awareness about LGBTQIA+ legal issues, eliminating stereotypes about LGBTQIA+ individuals, and fostering a supportive LGBTQIA+ and ally community throughout the law school.
Lambda is affiliated with Lambda Legal and the National LGBT Bar Association. Lambda programs include speakers involved in current legal issues, films, panel discussions, community activism, and social events. Membership in Lambda is open to all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
Participation in our organization and its AUWCL events is open to all members of the AU community, regardless of background. Our events, programs, and activities are inclusive and do not restrict participation based on personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
