Jewish Law Students Association (JLSA)
JLSA is a nondenominational organization, which strives to provide support and a sense of community for Jewish students. We are dedicated to creating fun programming for Jewish law students, professors, and our friends at the American University Washington College of Law.
JLSA holds discussions about current issues and events, hosts shabbat dinners, and organizes mixers with other organizations to provide the opportunity for students to meet and become an active part of the law school community. JLSA also hosts career networking panels to provide law students with an opportunity to meet practicing lawyers in their fields of interest. Participation in our organization and its AUWCL events is open to all members of the AU community, regardless of background. Our events, programs, and activities are inclusive and do not restrict participation based on personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
