Mentoring for First

Generation of Law Students

ADVANCE is WCL’s only mentorship program geared toward the retention of first generation law students. ADVANCE provides 1L members with a 2L or 3L mentor who has been in their shoes and knows what it’s like to navigate law school as a first generation student.

Our goal is to provide resources like an outline bank, study breaks, workshops, an extensive network of alumni, and importantly, a warm and friendly environment to ensure academic and professional success for our members.

Participation in our organization and its AUWCL events is open to all members of the AU community, regardless of background. Our events, programs, and activities are inclusive and do not restrict participation based on personal identity or characteristics, including but not limited to race, color, national origin (or shared ancestry), religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or veteran status.
