What kinds of cases does the Clinic accept?
Answer: At this time the clinic is only considering cases from potential clients with federal income tax matters. Individuals with IRS matters should call 202-274-4144 or email tax@clinc.wcl.american.edu. Examples include audits, appeals, refund claims, collection letters, and other IRS letters. The clinic does not prepare tax returns. We do not accept walk-in applications for assistance.

Answer: To see a directory of nonprofit agencies in your area that may be able to help you, please go to LawHelp.org and click on your state. The LawHelp.org platform is maintained by legal aid agencies in each state to provide information and resources to the public.
