Bio: Dr. Maida has had an academic career that included, the University of Maryland and American University. He was the recipient of a contract with the US Department of Justice to develop a program to train mediators throughout the country to mediate disputes that fell under the jurisdiction of the Americans With Disabilities Act. He is the author of a number of scholarly publications. He was a previous editor for seven years of the Mediation Quarterly. He currently serves on the Professional Mediation Board of Standards.
