Bio
Gabriela is a doctoral student in the Department of Justice, Law, and Criminology at the School of Public Affairs. Her research focuses on military approaches to counterterrorism, legal discourses, the ethics of counterterrorism and their human rights implications, as well as transitional justice and post-conflict reconciliation.
Outside of her academic work, Gabriela has 4+ years of combined legal and programmatic experience in international security, human rights, and international cooperation, with early-career roles at the Colombian Constitutional Court, the Organization of American States, the United Nations, and other institutions.
