Bio
Tahniat Saulat is the Assistant Director of the Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property (PIJIP) at American University Washington College of Law. She manages the LL.M. in Intellectual Property & Technology program, coordinates the IP and Technology curriculum, and leads engagement with both JD and LL.M. students through advising, mentoring, and co-curricular programming. With more than a decade of experience in higher education, Tahniat has held roles supporting academic programs, events, and student advising across AUWCL. Before joining PIJIP, she worked at the Institute for Law and Finance at Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany, where she collaborated with partner universities through the Erasmus Mundus consortium to advance international legal education.

Tahniat holds a Master’s degree in International Education from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Rutgers University. Her academic background and professional experience reflect a sustained commitment to expanding cross-cultural learning opportunities and supporting students’ academic and professional growth in the field of intellectual property and technology law.
