Austin Grasty serves as Director of Customer Service Experience in the Office of Information Technology at American University. In this role, he oversees frontline technology support and service operations that impact students, faculty, and staff across the institution.
Austin’s work spans the university’s technical landscape, from supporting enterprise transitions to modernizing device management and strengthening security practices.
With a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement, Austin works closely with colleagues across IT and the university at large to align technology services with institutional goals. His approach balances technical expertise with a strong emphasis on customer service, ensuring that AU’s technology environment is reliable, secure, and accessible for the entire community.
This role oversees the OIT Helpdesk, as well as the Technology Support Desk.
